WebProCMS can build a tailored starter site for you from a short description of your business. You fill in a few details — business name, industry, what you do, the tone you want — and the CMS generates a matching site: brand colours and fonts, page copy written for your business, and (optionally) imagery. Everything it produces is fully editable in the normal page editor afterward; nothing is locked.
It's free on every install. There's no separate add-on to buy — you bring your own AI provider key (the same one used elsewhere in the CMS), and generation runs on your account.
Where to find it
Dashboard → Develop → Generate with AI. It's available to administrators. You can run it on a brand-new site as your first step, or re-run it later — it's non-destructive and never overwrites copy you've edited by hand.
What you provide
A short business profile:
- Business name and industry / type (e.g. "Acme Dental", "Dental clinic")
- What you do — a sentence or two describing your services and what sets you apart
- Tone of voice — professional, friendly, bold, luxury, or playful
- Target audience, key services, and location (all optional, but they sharpen the result)
- Which pages to generate (home, about, contact, services, …)
- How much imagery to generate
- An optional preferred brand colour to steer the palette
Before it runs, the tool shows a rough estimate of how many AI calls it will make — because those calls are billed to your own configured provider key.
How it works
The generator separates the thinking from the doing:
- The "brain" writes the copy, picks the colour palette and fonts, and (in advanced modes) decides the structure.
- The "hands" are pure CMS plumbing — they set your branding, write the page content, generate images into your media library, and publish the pages. The hands never call an AI provider.
In production the brain is your configured AI text provider. Locally, the brain can be Claude Code instead (see Developing locally for free below). Either way the hands are identical, so the result is the same.
Content the generator writes is stored exactly where the page editor stores it, so you can open any page afterward and tweak headlines, swap images, or rewrite a paragraph as normal.
Generation modes
You choose an approach per run:
- Theme as skeleton (recommended, available now) — Uses one of your installed themes' professionally-designed page layouts as the skeleton. The AI rewrites every headline, paragraph, and button to fit your business, picks a brand palette and a matching theme variant, and generates key images. Because the AI never invents layout, the result always looks right.
- Assemble from existing rows (coming soon) — The AI plans your pages and picks the best-fitting rows from the design library for each one, then fills them in.
- AI authors new rows (coming soon, experimental) — The AI composes brand-new sections from scratch, writing custom layouts that still use your button styles, spacing, and colour system so they stay fully editable.
Images
Image generation is the slowest and most expensive part, and it's billed to your image-provider key, so you control how much happens:
- Key spots only (recommended) — Generates images for a handful of high-impact spots (hero and a few section images), capped, with the rest using smart placeholders you can fill later.
- Every image spot — Generates an image for every image on every page. The most complete result, but slower and pricier.
- Skip — No images; every image stays a placeholder for you to fill from the media library.
Generated images land in your media library under an "AI Generated" category, sized correctly for where they appear, so they're reusable and tidy. Note that image generation requires an image provider (OpenAI, Stability, Fal, or Google) — text-only AI providers can't make images.
Watching it run
Generation runs in the background. The page shows live progress — which page it's working on, how many pages are done, and how many AI calls it has used — and a short activity log. When it finishes, you get a one-click link to open the page editor or view your site. If a single page hiccups, the generator logs it and keeps going rather than failing the whole run; a provider rate-limit or billing error stops it cleanly and still publishes whatever was already written.
Re-running is safe
You can run the generator as many times as you like. It tracks the copy it wrote, so on a re-run it only refreshes its own values — anything you edited by hand in the page editor is left untouched. Pre-existing content it didn't create is also never overwritten.
Developing locally for free
If you're building a site on your own machine with Claude Code, you don't have to spend your website's AI key at all. WebProCMS exposes the generator's building blocks as MCP tools, so Claude Code can be the "brain" — writing the copy and choosing the palette on your Claude Code plan — and call the tools to persist it. The same tools (set branding, write content, compile pages) are what the production job uses, so the result is identical.
This local path is enabled only in the local development environment, never in production. One caveat: Claude can't generate images, so the local-for-free path covers text, structure, and branding — image generation still uses your configured image provider (or you skip images while developing and add them later). The practical workflow this enables: build your site copy and structure locally for free, then deploy.
Good to know
- It's a starting point, not a finished site — review the copy, replace placeholder images, and adjust the layout to taste. The generator gets you to "80% done" in a couple of minutes instead of starting from a blank page.
- It doesn't invent specific facts. It keeps claims generic and truthful — it won't make up prices, phone numbers, statistics, or addresses, so you won't have to hunt down fabricated details.
- Fonts and colour scales are chosen from the CMS's built-in, web-optimised set, so nothing it picks will slow your site down or look out of place.
